About Hector Morett
I am a Computer Systems Engineering student focused on backend architecture and product engineering. I care about what happens beneath the interface: the structure, decisions, and habits that make software dependable.
I build the parts of a product that need to hold together: APIs, authentication, data models, application logic, and the interfaces that make those systems useful to people.
I am still early in my career, but I have a clear direction. I want to work on software where careful thinking matters more than noise, and where the result is simple to use because the underlying system was designed well.
Capabilities
APIs, data flows, authentication, and the decisions that make a system understandable six months later.
Node.js / Bun / TypeScript / Java
Turning a rough idea into a focused product with a clear interface and a dependable foundation underneath.
Next.js / React / SvelteKit / Tailwind CSS
Modeling information carefully, choosing practical infrastructure, and making deployment part of the design.
MySQL / Drizzle ORM / Oracle Cloud
How I work
I trace a problem back to its constraints before reaching for a framework or a shortcut.
Good software should be legible to the next person who has to change it.
Language study, photography, and engineering all sharpen the same habit: paying attention.
I am interested in thoughtful products, backend problems, and teams that care about the quality of the thing they are making.
